We chose this cruise because our 45th anniversary would be celebrated while onboard, as well as the fact that we live close to the cruise port and would not have to fly prior to or after the cruise. We had the HIA package and booked our specialty dinners prior to sailing, as well as booking our shore excursions before sailing so we were ensured of them not selling out before we got onboard. I also

We really enjoyed our cruise, the destination was fantastic, we enjoyed all the Ports. Alaska was very pretty and absolutely fascinating. The ship was lovely and well looked after with many good communal areas. We had a Vista Suite which we were very happy with; good sized room and balcony and very comfortable. The experience in the main dining room was very positive; very good food and choice as

This was my first Alaskan cruise on any cruise line and my first trip to Alaska in general. I only have other Holland America cruises to compare it to (but I am also a cruise nerd and binge cruise news and reviews for other lines and ships), so I will do my best to describe everything. I have been on Eurodam twice before, back when it was a "newer" ship and also in 2019. I have to say, comparing

Very enjoyable late season Alaska cruise including Denali

The Nieuw Amsterdam seems a little dated compared to the Koningsdam and other Pinnacle class ships. We were very pleased with our Verandah cabin and the MDR and Lido food was better than on a recent cruise on the Koningsdam. We have tried the specialty restaurants on past cruises but don't think it's worth the cost. The option to add extra $$ menu items in the MDR is not a bad idea! The BB King

My wife and I have cruised on many different lines and ships. This trip was our first with Holland America. The Nieuw Amsterdam is what I would call a moderate sized ship, especially when compared to the newer “mega ships”. We found the ship itself to be clean and for the most part, well run. It is slightly older, as are it’s passengers! The food was quite good and we used the dining room

We had been planning a cruise tour and my brother booked this one, so it was similar to what we were looking at. Our room stewards were excellent. There was plenty of activities to keep you going if you wanted. We had sprinkles or rain most days but still had great views. New York pizza was very good. Also the fries at Dive In, just really good. Pinnacle Grill, filet was excellent along with

The ship is beautiful but when you first board onto the ship it's very new to everyone. Your welcomed into restaurants that have the fees and expenses and your not advised. They ask for cards and not tell you that the restaurants have additional prices. Things can add up very fast when you're unaware if it's on your package or not. When you have elderly and if your elderly are not in a

I chose this cruise as an anniversary gift to us both. We wanted a more quiet, adult cruise. Less children. Smaller more quaint ship. The Eurodam gave us much of that. Neither of us had ever been on a cruise. I thought seeing Alaska, the glaciers and wildlife would be nice. I can tell you that our cabin suite was marvelous. Spacious. Beautiful. King bed. I'm 6'5". Cleaned every day. The shower was

My family of 7 took our first Alaskan cruise last week. My husband and I are in our mid-40’s, kids are 19, 17, 15, 6, and 3. I know we are not the typical HAL demographic, but we all had a great time. We chose HAL and this specific cruise because 1. The dates worked with our tight schedule 2. the itinerary visited Glacier Bay 3. There is typically a Catholic priest onboard so we didn’t have to
