Evil Dead Rise is sleekly modern, emotionally gripping, and absolutely brutal, gory and appalling, but still fun. Cronin goes there and goes all the way.

Evil Dead Rise Is Way Scarier Than Sam Raimi's Original Movies. When compared to Sam Raimi's original Evil Dead movies, Evil Dead Rise is way scarier. While the original The Evil Dead was mainly a horror film, its low budget and over-the-top gore gave it some comedic qualities.

Well, it's Rated-R, meaning no one under 18 should watch it. I'd say it kinda depends on how many years you are under 18. If you're 17, 16 or maybe even 15, you should probably talk with your parents about it. If you're under 15, then you probably shouldn't watch it.

To young Kassie, however, the crazed creature before her is still her mother. It is torture to watch Kassie slowly but surely believe that the demon is Ellie. It's a psychologically thrilling sequence mixed in with jump scares that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

The acting is very good and the plot is interesting and fresh. I would not recommend for children under 14 because some parts of it are quite scary. That being said, I really enjoy paranormal, scary shows, but I despise blood and gore.

Firstly, you've got to consider the maturity level of your 14-year-old. Some kids can handle mature content and understand that it's fictional, but others might get nightmares or become overly anxious. You're the best judge of your child's temperament.

"The Evil Dead" can be very scary, but it's mostly great fun to watch due to its shameless amount of gore. This movie goes so over the top, it sort of becomes comic, and I dig that. Bruce Campbell has created such an icon out of Ash, a character who has lasted through 3 films.
