“The structure of this tour was quite different from other tours I have taken. Once I realized that Paul was not going to give us recommendations of any sort, I accepted his role. Switzerland is a most beautiful country and we were able to enjoy the scenery from the comfort of the trains we took. I will recommend this tour to others. Thank you for a great vacation.

“Vivian was a wonderful host. All of our drivers and guides and locations of interest were wonderful. The lodge in Ft. William was my favorite. I thought the trip was top notch aside from Inverness. Our meal accommodations were less so. The hotel asks that you wait to be seated in the dining area for breakfast and dinner. Then the hostess will assign you a seat, supposedly with your group (but not always). Once you stand to go to the buffet your seat may be taken by someone else when you return. I think it is important we sit with whomever we choose.

“Joe Royle, Tour Manager did a great job keeping our group on top of things and in the correct place at the right time. His nightly texts of the next day’s key things to remember was very helpful, even though he verbally repeated instructions during the day. He was a wealth of info and had a pleasant, fun personality that did not get perturbed easily. He made the trip very enjoyable.

“This was a wonderful vacation. When I first booked this vacation, I did not know it was "on our own". As three elderly ladies we were more than a little nervous. Gabrielle did a wonderful job of helping me through all of the details as did Bridget. The hotels were nice and clean and well located and the train station was never very far away. The tours provided by the tour were excellent and the timing of the train rides perfect. All of the connections were seamless and the tour guides and drivers were all exceptional. I recommend this company, and this tour if you want to be on your own but have all the details, ie hotels, train tickets, transfers, taken care of.
